Solar Work in Garland and the Towns Around It

From our base in Garland, we put up new solar, fix systems that stopped producing and wash dirty panels at homes across the nearby towns. Each visit comes with photos of what we found and what we did, so you see your roof without a ladder.

The towns we cover

Garland is home base. From here we work in Rowlett, Sachse, Murphy, Wylie and Sunnyvale most weeks, and we head out to Richardson, Plano, Mesquite, Rockwall and Balch Springs on a regular schedule. If your town is close by and not on this list, call and ask. We'll tell you straight whether we can do the job well from where we are.

The work is the same in every town. That covers solar panel installation, roof-mounted solar, battery storage, solar repair and panel cleaning. What changes from place to place is the paperwork: which city signs off on the permit, which utility handles the hookup, and whether an HOA wants to see plans first. We sort that out early, before anything gets scheduled.

What we see on roofs across the area

  1. 01

    Housing age and roofs

A lot of homes around here were built between the 1960s and the early 2000s, and most have asphalt shingle roofs. Panels last a long time, so the roof under them matters. We photograph the shingles, decking edges and vents before we plan anything. If the roof looks close to the end of its life, we show you the photos and tell you plainly. You'd want a roofer to handle that before panels go on, so you're not paying to pull them off later.

  2. 02

    Hail, heat and wind

Spring storms bring hail, and summers run long and hot. Hail can crack panel glass, and heat is hard on wiring and connectors. On repair calls we photograph each damaged panel and loose wire so you have a clear record, which also helps if you file an insurance claim.

  3. 03

    Dust and pollen

North Texas gets a steady film of dust, pollen and bird droppings on panels, and dry spells can go weeks without a rinse. That film cuts output. Our panel cleaning visits come with before and after photos so you can see the difference.

  4. 04

    Permits and inspections

Most cities around here want a building permit and an electrical permit before solar goes up, and an inspector checks the work before the system can be turned on. Your electric provider has to approve the hookup too. We handle the permit paperwork, book the inspection and let you know where things stand along the way.

  5. 05

    HOAs

Many subdivisions have an HOA. Texas law limits an HOA's ability to ban solar outright, but most still want to review where panels go. We put together a layout drawing and roof photos you can hand to your HOA.
